    Wait Time:
    None. We always get seated right away. It is a relatively smaller joint with nice relaxing jazzy ambiance music in the background.

    Specials:
    They have lunch specials. They also have a blackboard listing all the new dishes and daily specials.

    Food:
    *Grilled Squid: The picture below said it all. Chewy, nicely-presented and tasty.

    * Grilled Salmon+ Shumai+ Small Salad+ Rice Combo: Served hot. Great portion. Brace yourselves if you have a birdy stomach like me. Yummy well-cooked salmon and amazing bitesize shumai gave me massive energy throughout the day.

    * Miso Soup and Edamame: Flavourful and essential. Soup was piping hot. A huge plus.  

    * Beef+ Curry Plate: Non-spicy yet mouth-watering curry and an awesome portion of protein with baked potatoes on the side.

    Service:
    Fantastic! The lady server is attentive and wonderfully polite as always.

    My 2¢:
    An authentic Japanese hidden gem that carries a comfy vibe. Will def be back for more delicious food and fast service.

    The Curry Katsu Udon is executed extremely well! The portion to price ratio is extremely fair and the service here is exceptional!

    The lady is extraordinary! She heard me drop a chop stick and immediately came by with a new set. Will definitely come back!

    Easily one of my favorite restaurants in Pasadena. It's a cozy, tucked away treasure. Every. Single. Menu. Item. Is. Delicious. I feel like I can't stress that enough. My husband and I have made our rounds eating through the menu and we have never gone wrong. For the quality and amount of food you get, the prices are also extremely fair. Some of my faves are the udon dishes (all of them) because the broth is awesome. I always crave it when I don't feel well. I also love their bento box (I get the katsu pork). The food feels authentic and unpretentious.

    The staff is also attentive and kind. We always love coming here and bringing new people to this hidden gem.

    Last night I had the Udon soup. It was very good. I recommend it. I had the original Udon but there are so many varieties I will return to try more. The staff there are very accommodating and so welcoming when you arrive.  If you are anywhere near the Playhouse district of Pasadena you must visit this restaurant.  I cannot wait to try more items on their menu.

    They do not serve sushi anymore at all so if you are looking for sushi do not bother coming here. They changed their entire menu.
